Overview

Citibank is the banking subsidiary of Citigroup—one of the largest financial corporations in the world with over 200 million customer accounts and a presence in nearly 160 countries and jurisdictions. It offers a variety of financial products and services, including checking and savings accounts, credit cards, loans, and investment accounts.

The Citi Double Cash® Card is part of the company’s extensive credit card portfolio. Its 2% unlimited cashback rate is one of the highest in the market. New cardholders also get a 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 18 months. This is longer than offered by many other cashback cards, and on par with some of the top balance transfer cards in the market.

Suitable For?

The Citi Double Cash® Card is best suited for people who don’t spend a lot in any one specific expense category and want rewards at the same rate for all their purchases, whether it’s their morning coffee or their next trip abroad. What’s more, there’s no limit to the amount of cash back you can earn.

The Citi Double Cash® Card is also a good option for those carrying high-interest credit card debt. If you transfer your debt to this card, you won’t incur any additional interest in the first 18 months, so every payment will go towards paying off your principal balance. This can help you clear your debt faster.

Interest Rate and Fees

The Citi Double Cash® Card doesn’t have an annual fee. It has an interest rate of   18.49%-28.49% (Variable).

You’ll pay a fee of $5 or 3%, whichever is greater, for each balance transferred during the first four months of account opening. After that, the fee rises to 5% or $5, whichever is greater.
